Just discovered OliveTin - I was thinking about writing something like this ages ago, but was always too concerned about security. Anyone ever use it or anything else similar?

Nice to see that BitWarden’s UI is getting some love… I tried using it a while back but couldn’t get past the terrible UX. Been happy with 1password since but maybe I’ll try switching again…
Happy to see ActivityPods, never heard of it before but was thinking that would be cool!
I don’t think they’re necessarily meant to be self-hosted, although they can be. The point is to decentralize and take control over your data. Will happily explain more when I sober up :)
Exactly my thoughts!
Some excellent content this week. Some of my highlights:
Some really good content in there this week!
watch
- always thought I had to write a watcher (e.g. with a node library). That’s massively useful honestlyYou should reach out to the creators and let them know! https://selfh.st/contact/
Sucks about VMWare, that’s a blow for sure
I don’t remember exactly, it was around 2 years ago. It was easy to set up, but I found the feature set to be lacking some essentials, and I ran into a couple of big bugs. Couldn’t really replace my airtable setup yet. Happy to give it another try though!
Anyone used NocoDb recently? Last time I tried to get it running, it was too buggy to be useful

Update: I finally installed RYOT, and wow is it slow, and resource intensive. It’s using more than 20% of the CPU on my NAS when it isn’t even open! Might switch to Media Tracker…
I was wondering why everyone kept talking about Media Tracker being fast. I finally installed RYOT, and wow is it slow, and resource intensive. It’s using more than 20% of the CPU on my NAS when it isn’t even open!
I just unrelatedly installed Homarr today actually, was getting a little annoyed at memorizing the ports for services running on my Synology…
I use Backblaze B2 for my backups. Storing about 2tb, comes out to about $10/mo, which is on par with Google One pricing. However, I get the benefit of controlling my data, and I use it for tons more than just photos (movies/shows etc).
If you want a cheaper solution and have somewhere else you can store off-site (e.g. family/friend’s house), you can probably use a raspberry pi to make a super cheap backup solution.
Ooh, ryot is really nice! And seems to have a similar feature set to Media Tracker, plus exercise. It’s also maintained actively.
Have you used it before? Any warnings?
I don’t really care about games (GOG galaxy works pretty well for that) but looks like flox also supports movies now, maybe a recent change?
I was looking for watched content, but only because I didn’t think about music before! Will play around with it, thanks for the rec
Beeper mini has been a sad saga to follow :(
Also never seen BaseRow before - anyone used that over NocoDb? Comparisons?
