I’ve got my FreshRSS server going and I use its web app as a client on my phone. I don’t hate it, but don’t love it either. I will check this out for sure.

I’ve heard good things about Dynu but I still use duckdns.
I read this every week and was glad to see they got a sponsor. : thumbs-up
And .home.
Hopefully this .Internal domain takes off and becomes generally recognized as the only correct non-routable domain we all use. Otherwise it’s just the latest addition to the list of possible TLDs and confusion continues.
My home server is also on a NUC and I just connected a 2TB SSD to it via a USB cable. I know that’s not ideal but I didn’t want to become like an enterprise IT guy at home. Jellyfin rocks with this setup. YMMV.
Just watch out for your fingers. Yeee-ouch.
Thank you!
Oh, good idea! I’m on it.
Hmmm, I hadn’t noticed that before but you’re right. There are open issues and also pull requests which were never merged.
Yah, they’re a good company and have a very good product, but I know how to do this on my own, thanks to the good folks at FreshRss, so…
Preach! ʘ‿ʘ
I used to pay Inoreader for the premium features they offer, but now I get them for free with FreshRss on my server. It’s not exposed to the world but I can wireguard in when I need. Works great, basically maintenance free.
I just have a hard coded, static html page. I edit it when anything changes. I guess I’m a Luddite.
I installed paperless a couple of months ago, and then needed a document from it this week, for the first time. Standing at my front door, with a contractor waiting, I retrieved a contract in about ten seconds.
I will never stop using this software.
For everyone else:
That looks really promising. Thanks!
Yah, I don’t think this app is for you in that case, haha.
Thanks. I’m wondering if maybe I could just use something simple like a lamp timer, to control when juice comes through to the phone’s charger/cable. I could enable that only for like 6 hours a day and keep it “off” otherwise.
Does anyone know how long the battery might last in this scenario? Any articles testing this sort of thing? I just searched and couldn’t find any facts, just suggestions / concerns.
Yah, that’s a shame. I thought it was great.
But then again, after a month, I realized I didn’t really need this software and uninstalled it.
But thanks for the link to the fork!
