What’s wrong with APC? I have one for 6-7 years. I’ve changed the battery once and I think I’ll have to change it again this year. I didn’t have any problems with it.
I’m on fosstodon

Same here. Taught my wife how to start WireGuard on her android phone and then access any of the services I run. This way I only have one port open and don’t have to worry too much.
Tailscale is WireGuard. Just a fancy one.
Yes, I do and it’s great. I just wrote a template for cooking recipes.
Agree. That’s why I paid for it.
Symphonium tops all, but it’s not even free.
What is nebula?
I don’t really like using Docker so I always go for easier option
Usually docker is the easiest option as you don’t have to install a lot of dependencies, then set up other services and databases and whatnot. Especially if you use docker-compose.
Wow! You found the problem. Congrats!
Localsend has clients for all OSs.
You have your local replica of the database on your device and once you’re home or can connect to your home server (through VPN, for example) it will sync with the remote database. I used to have synthing running for this and it worked without issues.
Nope. Docker containers are kind of “virtual filesystems” and programs are running on top of the host’s kernel. They’re just isolated processes running on their own volume - to which you can also attach external “volumes”.
I don’t think you know what you mean/want. I never had any registrar requiring me to install anything to have my domain registered with them. The same is true about hosters too.
I use Silverbullet too and have set the same directory as my vimwiki path, so I can edit my files in the terminal if I want, but also in the browser. Never had issues with it.
This is great. And I don’t regret paying the subscription.
whenever they release self hosting.
Are there any plans? I just got their 70% off on subscription and I like it, but it would be great if there’d be a self hosted server.
Yes. That was one of the first checks I did.
Coming back to this: it was a case of “did you turn it off and then back on?” I did some server upgrades a day before setting up wireguard and it’s possible there were some changes that needed a reboot. I just rebooted today and everything works as expected.
XDG doesn’t mean you need a GUI. XDG is a specification on how to set up config, cache, etc. directories. aria2 should work without setting anything up.
